Agriculture Caucus Members Participation at the RCEN 2010 Conference

When: September 17-19, 2010
Where: Montreal, QC (Grand Plaza Montreal Centre-Ville in Montreal)  

Agriculture Canada has agreed to fund the participation of 5-7 Agriculture Caucus members to participate in the 2010 RCEN Conference. The purpose of this funding is to ensure full engagement of ENGOs in discussions around the issues associated with agriculture and environment, as well as in a functional dialogue between practicing farmers engaged in environmental practices and Agriculture Canada.

• Bob Collins, Citizens' Stewardship Coalition, BC
• Shannon Hubert, Falls Brook Centre, NB
• Gabrielle Kretzschmar, New Brunswick Partners in Agriculture, NB
• Ruth Pryzner, Mixedwood Forest Society, MB
• Wayne Ungstad, Ponoka Fish and Game, AB

The selected members will be expected to participate in the Agriculture Caucus Members Meeting on September 17th and the Agriculture Caucus Public Presentation on September 18th. It is also recommended that selected members attend the Panel on Biodiversity, Agriculture and Ecosystem Services on September 19th. Each selected member will be required to write a report following the Conference.
