Mission: The RCEN Youth Caucus supports Canadian youth by facilitating and promoting opportunities for them to meaningfully engage in environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Mandate:
to help, support and work with young Canadians who are engaged (or want to be engaged) in environmental and sustainability initiatives;
to provide a nationwide collaborative networking hub for Canadian youth;
to provide Canadian youth with access to resources and workshops related to capacity building and skills training;
to provide support for, and advocate for, youth engagement in policy consultation.

In order to reinstate the Youth Caucus, we held a series of mini-consultations with youth environmental NGOs across Canada. The outcome of this process has
allowed us to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in the national youth

The Youth Caucus is looking for three youth panellists for its RCEN 2010 Conference to be held from September 17-19, 2010, in Montreal for the following panels: “Perspectives on Biodiversity - The Values of Ecosystem Services”; “Visions of the Saint Lawrence in 2021” and “The Boreal Forest, the Oil Sands and Biodiversity”.
